Fix your printer !

Here is the procedure te replace the old transfer roller ( RM1-9175 ) with the new one on these HP printers: LaserJet Pro 400 M401a M401dn M401dw M401n M425dn et M425dw. Do not touch the black surface of the new roller.. Step 1 : Open the cover to remove the toner Step 2 : (see picture below) In the toner slot, lift and hold the hinged metal plate ( -1- in the picture) While holding the metal plate up, release the 2 black plastic tabs (-2- in the picture) Pull the black plastic sleeve up until it is free, then slide the transfer roller (-3- in the picture) up and to the right to remove it. Step 3 : Insert the black plastic sleeve onto the tip of the new transfer roller, then first install the left end of the transfer roller, followed by the right end of the transfer roller and the locking of the black plastic ring.

The error code 13.20 is a paper jam error. Solution 1 : Remove the paper tray and the toner Check for any sheet of paper stuck in the machine If you see any sheet of paper, a sensor may be stock or defective. Replace the sensors Replace the roller separator Check the fuser unit is properly installed

Error 50.X is a fuser error :  the printer has experienced an error with the fuser. Solution 1: Turn off the power by using the power switch. Wait at least 60 seconds. Turn on the power and wait for the product to initialize.   Solution 2: If the error continues, turn off the product. Wait at least 25 minutes, and then turn on the product. (If you are using a surge protector, remove it. Plug the product directly into the wall socket. The message error Waiting for tray 0 to lift appears on these printers: HP CM6030, CP3525, CP4005, Laserjet 4000, 4200, 4250, 4350, 4700, 5500, 9040... Paper is in the tray but no motors turn. Solution 1: Turn the printer off.  Remove the Network Card.  Do a cold reset. Install the network card. Solution 2: Download and install the latest firmware. Solution 3: Take the paper out of the trays and check the trays mechanism, lift the tray by hand and make sure nothing is obstructing the movement or something broken. Solution 4 : Remove the toner. Lift the registration plate up. Check for torn pieces of paper blocking one of the sensors.

It appears that the spring which holds the lifter motor upright was designed without enough tension on it. If the spring is removed and the motor assembly is allowed to fall to the right when the paper tray is inserted the motor never engages the tray and an error 60.02 appears. However if the motor assembly is held upright while the tray is inserted the error message never appears as the motor always engages.

HP laserjet 49 errors are a firmware error, it might be caused by the firmware itself, or by the failure of a printer module. How to isolate the cause: Verify that the problem is not being caused by a specific job, this error can be caused by bad information being sent to the printer. Power off and remove any installed EIO devices, (JetDirect Cards, Hard Drives), power on and test. Cold Reset the printer: Power off, remove any optional memory, power on and retest. Power off and reseat any memory and firmware modules on the formatter board, power on and test. Power off, reseat the formatter board, power on and test. Check firmware version : On newer machines with flashable firmware upgrade to the latest version. If you are running the latest version reload it, this might fix corrupted firmware. Inverter PCB or scanning lamp failure. Solutions : - Verify that the scanning lamp briefly illuminates when the printer’s power is turned on. - Verify that the scanning lamp fuse located on the Inverter PCB is not open. - Check for loose connectors and frayed or pinched wires. Reseat the inverter connector at inverter PCB location CN2 and at scanner PCB location J1202. - Replace the scanning lamp with a known functioning lamp. If the problem persists, replace the inverter PCB.

 MAJ 02/09/15 For solving error code 49.FF81 , verify printer functionality: Power off the MFP and remove the EIO hard disk. To remove the hard disk remove the two screws from the EIO1 or EIO2 slot on the back of the MFP (depending on which slot the hard drive is installed in). Power up the MFP (turn it on), it will boot up with the message " HARD DISK NOT INSTALLED, COPY AND SEND DISABLED." Print a Configuration Page by performing the following: Press the Menu key until Information is shown on the display, then press the Select key to highlight the Information Menu. Highlight Print Configuration and press the Select key. The MFP should print out two pages. Test the MFP by send several print jobs over the network to the MFP from a PC.  MAJ 02/09/15 A cold reset may be the solution for error code 79.00FE: - Print a configuration page (if you can) - Remove the Jet Direct and power on while holding the 'GO' button down. After display reads OFFLINE, the reset is complete. After the cold reset, remove the jetdirect card (with the printer off), and see if the 79 error goes away. If the error appears before a job is sent then it may be the DIMMS, try removing them to see if the error persists. If that doesnt work try swapping the formatter PCA with another from a known good printer.
