Error E-01 on Epson printers


Error E-01 indicate the cartridges are empty: first, verify this is not the case.

Solution 1:
  • Remove the cartridges
  • Clean the chips with a soft cloth.
  • Disconnect the power.
  • Disconnect the USB cable.
  • Hold on the "Power" button for 3 minutes then release.
  • Connect USB and power cables.
  • Power on the printer
  • Install the cartridges

Solution 2: If error E-01 appears during the installation of a new cartridge:
  • May be a the cartridge is defective. Replace it.
