How to fix error 0xc18a0101 on HP printers


Solution 1:
  • Hold down the four "OK", "Cancel", "Black", and "Color" buttons at the same time and turn printer off 
  • Allow it so shut down normally but keep holding the buttons until shuts off, then turn it back on
  • Release the four buttons.
  • You will have to do this twice and then it should recalibrate

Solution 2:
  • Install new cartridges 
  • Hold down the four "OK", "Cancel", "Black", and "Color" buttons at the same time and turn printer off
  • Allow it so shut down normally but keep holding the buttons until shuts off, then turn it back on
  • Release the four buttons.
  • You will have to do this twice and then it should recalibrate

Sweet, this fix worked. I thought it wouldn't work but it did. I spent over $100 in ink and didn't want to buy a new printer.

This fix reseted the nvram.

This totally worked, I'm sure you said it already but the black and color on the copy side is the one you gotta press, took me about 2 tried but it works.

You have to manually turn off your printer, holding the buttons is what you have to do while you manually turn it off. This does work, it fixed mine.
