All resets for HP Officejet 6310 printer



Power Drain:

  • Turn OFF the printer, disconnect the power cable from backside of the printer and from wall outlet.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 60 seconds.
  • Connect the cable and turn ON the printer.

Partial Reset:
  • Remove the power cable from back side of the printer while its ON.
  • Press and hold "#" and "3" button, while holding them both insert the power cable and release the button after 10 seconds.
  • If printer turns OFF, press power button to turn it ON.

Semi-Full reset
:
  • Remove the ink cartridges.
  • Remove the power cable from back side of the printer while its ON.
  • Press and hold "#" and "6" button, while holding them both insert the power cable and release the button after 10 seconds.
  • If printer turns OFF, press power button to turn it ON.
  • Insert the ink cartridges.

Full-NVM Reset:
  • Remove the ink cartridges.
  • Remove the power cable from back side of the printer while its ON.
  • Press and hold "OK" and "Cancel" button, while holding them both insert the power cable and release the button after 10 seconds.
  • If printer turns OFF, press power button to turn it ON.
  • Insert the ink cartridges.

Fortunately, I really like the XPS Document Writer, and I typically telecommute. For those of you wired to a LAN and suffering with now having to flip between printers, let me know if you find a solution.

Thank you for the reset info - I was getting a flashing "power reset" message on my HP 6310 All in One and after surfing a few different pages found your page and the 'Full NVM Reset' worked like a charm.

What do you do when it still doesn't work after doing the full reset? Drop it off the side of a building?
I am still getting the "Reset Power" blinking after trying the full reset (I worked my way to the full reset after trying each of the other suggestion in order.)

I have the same problem and did the same procedure like "onesontwocats" and the printer still fails.
Any other solution than dropping it away?

How to solve error B204 on Canon Maxify printers

The error B204 could happen after a cartridge replacement. First of all, when installing, remove the cartridges from the plastic package, but do not drill any plastic membranes, as this will cause this error when placing the cartridge.
