10.00.xx errors codes on HP Color Laserjet 5550 series

10.00.00 - The printer cannot read or write to the black print cartridge memory tag.
10.00.01 - The printer cannot read or write to the cyan print cartridge memory tag.
10.00.02 - The printer cannot read or write to the magenta print cartridge memory tag.
10.00.03 - The printer cannot read or write to the yellow print cartridge memory tag.


Solution 1:

• Turn the printer off and then back on.
  

Solution 2:

• If error returns, remove all print cartridges and turn printer off. Turn on and reinstall print cartridges.

Solution 3: Cold reset the printer if error returns

• Turn the printer on.
• Watch the control panel.
• When the memory starts counting, press and hold the green (Select) button.
• Continue holding the green check button until the Ready, Data, and Attention lights flash once, and then stay on steady.
• Release the check button when the Ready, Data, and Attention light are on steady. The control panel will display SELECT LANGUAGE.
• Press (Down Arrow) button once. The control panel will display COLD RESET.
• Press (Select). The printer will perform a cold reset and then continue its power-on sequence.
• Wait for the printer prompt to install each print cartridge.
• If the error persists, contact HP Customer Care Support.
